Disabilities and internet

The article focuses the accessibility to technologies with particular reference to the use of the Internet by people with disabilities. It follows then a proper definition of the «disability» construct. A summary of the main documents which can be found in the international forum is presented regarding the specific policies and actions to promote accessibility to people with disabilities. The last part of this work includes a brief analysis on the development of assistive technologies as an elective tool to improve the relationship between people and their daily living environment.
