Percorsi educativi per il potenziamento delle capacità cognitive e relazionali di base attraverso stimoli motori

The article describes the realisation of a number of educational paths aimed at acquiring and strengthening basic cognitive abilities, by drawing on motor stimuli. Integration of bibliographical research, observation of a child’s development and clinical practice supports the following views: the first year of life is the time when the basis for a child’s entire growth is acquired; development must be looked at as a whole, especially in the first twelve months of life. If developmental disorders are encountered at a cognitive and/or relational level, even at a more advanced age, a re-educational programme can be put into effect which retraces the stages in which a child learns basic competences, through a specific programme of mainly motor based stimuli.
