Creatività e compensazione in Vygotskij

Luca De Giorgi

The compensation process can be defined as the ability of a person with disabilities to overcome his or her own deficit.
In this theory, which is dear to Vygotskij’s defectology, elements likening it to the creative process emerge. One’s relationship with the environment, memory, combinatorial mechanisms, emotivity and awareness of a need are all elements which enter into the compensatory process as well as the creative one. This paper attempts to primarily show a path from this perspective and then to look towards compensatory processes in intellectual disabilities.
