It is important to distinguish the point of view associated with rights compared to welfare aspects when considering the phenomenon of disability. The point of view of rights does not focus on the disability status as such, but on the disabled person as a human being who has dignity and rights. It is precisely this outlook that makes it important to re-think about the right of job placement for persons with a disability. Assigning a work role to persons who have a disability generates profitability, citizenship and opportunities for identity, rendering the person less depended on others and making society more democratic.
