Formare i ragazzi a rischio di esclusione scolastica e sociale

Early withdrawal is a significant issue for the Italian educational system that has one of the highest dropout rates in Europe. In particular, the problem concerns students who are at a greater disadvantage: the possibility of obtaining a qualification or completing a cycle of studies decreases drastically when social and cultural poverty is accompanied by cognitive deficits. This article intends to give an account of the research performed on a professional training institution of excellence: the intention is to highlight the points of strength and the reproducible actions based on an analysis of the institution’s organisational culture and an assessment of the effectiveness of the programmes proposed
within the institution. The investigation method and the main results of the analysis performed are presented.
