Eros Mangiaracina, Luisella Cuccu, Anna Maria Dore

An extensive reference literature considers the cooperative learning method to be an educational resource of proven
educational effectiveness. An important method that however requires special attention to be taken when forming the groups, structuring the educational tasks, assessment method, organising the work sequences. The teachers experimented the cooperative method in two third-year classes in a primary school to enhance the children’s’ skills in understanding the written text. The results show significant improvements in the ability to understand the text and in the development of prosocial skills to achieve a better quality of school integration.
