La scuola: primo contesto di integrazione per il bambino disabile

Italy has developed the awareness that a real integration of a person with a disability is essential for the growth of society itself.
This integration is achieved through the consultation of all the institutions which revolve around the individual by implementing the Programmazione Educativa Individualizzata (Individualised Education Programme). The interpretation of the real educational needs of each single child with a disability derives from the consultation of all the institutions (Schools, ASL, Local Authorities) which are required to coordinate the actions foreseen using the tools available, for example: Functional Diagnosis (FD), Dynamic Functional Profile (DFP), Handicap Work Group (HWG), the Individualised Education Plan (IEP) and monitoring the education activities.
