La pedagogia clinica e l’educazione come cura

Clinical education as a science and as a profession represents an epistemological feature of education that extends intensely in its professional forms, therefore, adopted in relation to problems experienced in human development problems and «individual help» services. An awareness that the professional figure of the educator exists and the related construction and assertion of an authentic epistemological statute developed during the Eighties following the experiences of Itard and Séguin.
The article describes the scientific and historical backgrounds of clinical education and traces the principal epistemological
indicators (the work domain, disciplinary relationships, language, research procedures, etc.).
