Care in an early childhood education service requires specific educational skills. In particular, when relationships and ties must be established with those who have experienced or experience a disability. This article aims to outline a number of research horizons in the education field in relation to the care of young boys and girls with disabilities or with special educational needs in the early childhood education services: a complex and delicate area, still fairly unexplored by the Italian scientific reference literature.
