Approved the Guidelines 2024 of the National University Conference of Delegates for the Inclusion of Students with Disabilities and Specific Learning Disorders (CNUDD)

The CNUDD (National University Conference of Delegates for the Inclusion of Students with Disabilities and specific learning disorders) is the institution committed to disseminating inclusive guidelines and practices in academic contexts and to supporting the right and the quality of study of young adults with experiences of fragility. At the end of 2024 it published the new Guidelines, which contribute to consolidating the identity of the university as a community on the path of change, attentive to promoting collaborative networks within itself and in relationships with institutions and entities in the territory. The project offers concrete indications to make the academic institution — values and directions of action, sectors, environments, communication methods, teaching, methodologies, materials, technologies — fully accessible and inclusive. It also dedicates a large space to incoming, ongoing and outgoing orientation, in support of the student’s personalized and participatory individual project. Among the changes that characterize the new version: the approach to disability according to a systemic bio-psycho-social model; adherence to the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) at the macro, meso and micro academic levels; the recognition of protection extended to students with special educational needs (SEN) who, despite the presence of a documented condition of learning difficulty, are not considered by the legislation.
