Listening to children’s voice to evaluate the assessment
Eugenia Cognigni
Recently, in primary school, there has been a shift from grades to written judgements, which involves not only teachers and parents but also students. The research aims to consult the «voice of children» attending primary school in order to get to know their thinking about assessment and collect data on how aware they are of this practice that involves them daily. The students’ points of view may help guide teachers’ theories and practices to generate innovation; moreover, students will actually be involved in a process of improvement in order to get an «assessment for learning».
