L’ICF nei servizi socio-sanitari italiani
Samanta Sagliaschi
The Italian socio-medical services aim to enable people with disabilities and their families to occupy and/or reoccupy a central and dynamic position from the outset through the use of the ICF; to introduce a common language to describe health and the conditions related to it; to permit a shared interpretation and an analysis of the types of intervention, in the programme to adopt the tool. ICF in socio-medical services increases the awareness that disability is not a personal attribute, but an aggregate sum of conditions, many of which are products of the social context. Consequentially, managing the problem requires an appropriate action on a social level.
