European Universities: A Tool for Self-Assessing Inclusiveness and Promoting the Mobility of Students with Disabilities3

Elena Bortolotti

Article 24 of the Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities (CRPD) stipulates that persons with disabilities should be able to access tertiary education, vocational training, adult education and lifelong learning without discrimination and on an equal basis with others. These rights should be guaranteed not only in the country of birth of persons with disabilities, but also in an international context, where exchanges for study purposes have become an integral part of the education of young people. Starting from this reflection, the Euni4all project will be presented here, created within the framework of a European Erasmus+ programme and aimed at building a European network of universities working for inclusion. In this contribution, particular attention will be paid to the presentation of the questionnaire drawn up to invite European universities to participate in the creation of the Euni4all network, a network dedicated to consulting universities that work for inclusion, which could become a reference for students with disabilities interested in mobility.
