The article considers the topics of integration searching for possible meanings and new horizons which can redirect the view of the education and social professions, by highlighting how integration and social change were almost viewed as being opposites. Living in the perimeter of the educational system, with the insecurity of the contractual conditions, in fact, has helped many to appreciate the arguments of the excluded persons and to fi nd the path of an educational commitment that is political, since it re-establishes the bases of society.
