Promoting inclusion through SuperReading
Francesca Santulli, Melissa Scagnelli
Summary: SuperReading is a course, developed in Britain and now available in Italy, which proves effective in developing strategic reading in adulthood. In this paper, a project is illustrated which involved a population of 212 course participants, mostly university students, both normotypical (89) and dyslexic readers (123). The reading tests administered before, during and after the course show a significant reduction of reading time and, at the same time, an increase of comprehension in both subgroups. In this paper, the data processed so far are presented and discussed. These results, combined with preliminary indications emerging from qualitative data, emphasise the effectiveness of the course for all students, and thus its inclusive approach.
