Law 517 forty years on, the requirements are still the same: To have inclusive teachers

This paper revolves around an element that Law 517 had already made central: the need to have competent teachers capable of working in ever more heterogeneous environments. A truly inclusive school is, in fact, built on the quality of the staff who work there, with particular emphasis placed on its teachers. The article outlines the profile of an inclusive teacher and offers a specific training curriculum based upon this.
This issue is particularly topical as the new legislative decrees of Law 107, dated 2015, outline the structure of a new kind of teacher training, which will soon be filled with content on the issuing of a second decree.
