Proximity supports represent opportunities for educational work aimed at people with complex disabilities. The article highlights the shift from a relationship mode based on abstract and metaphorical contents, towards a more metonymic dimension, based on connections and adherence between experience and signification. Informal meetings, objects we find, people we meet are opportunities to grasp, but above all elements which can be placed at the centre of an educational work model based on closeness and the concreteness of the experiential dimension.
