I servizi di supporto per l’inclusione professionale delle persone con disabilità

Emanuela Zappella

This research investigates the different forms of support that can be offered to people with disabilities in order to facilitate their entry into the world of work through the use of tools of Supported Employment. Through an indepth interview, the skills that can be implemented by representatives of health services, regional coordinators and company tutors directly involved in recruitment in 30 companies in northern Italy were analysed. These data were analysed using a phenomenological approach and were shared with the participants through the Delphy method. The results show that the health service representative deals with the analysis of the application while the territorial coordinator analyses the characteristics of the job and defines any matching between the two. The company tutor is the key figure when the new employee enters the organisation, especially in the management of any unforeseen events and emotional tension that may arise during the course of business. This person also has the task of making sure that they meet the needs of employees and those of the organisation.
