Verso una società «inclusiva»

In today’s multi-ethnic and multi-cultural society the education system should help to form multi-dimensional citizens, whose main feature is flexible, creative and critical thinking, making them capable of learning in formal and informal contexts throughout life. The use of new technologies in teaching is not only particularly effective as far as the learning process of digital natives is concerned, but it supports those who have special educational needs as well. Thanks to its «inclusive» potential, multimedia teaching can therefore be of great help in developing the kind of approach to diversity that is necessary if differences aren’t to be considered as obstacles, but, on the contrary, as a valuable resource for the entire community.
