Rousseau’s almost paradoxical educational principle of «making sure that a child can do nothing but learn freely» invokes the ability, authority and responsibility of the educator, the capabilities and resources of the pupil and, last of all, the characteristics and the expectations of the surrounding environment. In which forest can we consciously lose children today so that they can learn freely to find their way using the stars?
