«Bambini come noi». Esilio e infanzia negata? – The «Bambini come noi» project proposal. Exile and denied childhood?

The following article presents a project proposal that involves three countries, Eritrea, Palestine and Italy, as well as the place of which the school interested in participating in the project is situated in. In an attempt to create a pathway to peace education, the project wants to raise awareness about the stories of different migrant minors in Italy, and the geo-historical aspects of their countries of residence or origin. This will be achieved by the examination of historical events through literature, filmography, direct testimonials and other materials collected on the field. Furthermore, the law, such as the Declaration of Children's Rights of 1989, and the Italian Constitution of 1948, and current statistical reports, including the local ones, will be considered. Last but not least, comments and suggestions from all of those who participate in the research project, not to mention the students themselves, will be taken into account.
