This paper describes a study of individual subjects referring to rehabilitation training of the decoding ability and based on the principle of sub-lexical treatment. It involves 31 subjects aged between 7 and 13 with a diagnosis of dyslexia, from Caltanissetta, Catania, Trapani and Fermo. The duration of the rehabilitation training was three months (single cycle); two computer tools, WinABC® and Lettura Facilitata®, were used. The clinical changes observed in reading ability were specified by the regulatory indicators and maintained at the six-month follow-up and fell within «Clinical criteria», as suggested by the PARCC of the Consensus Conferences. In order to satisfy the clinical criterion, questionnaires on the Likert scale were used and were given to the subjects undergoing rehabilitation training, their parents and their teachers at school, who were able to investigate the changes perceived in reading abilities and their effects on learning autonomy. The results observed on the tested subjects showed an increase in speed and correctness of reading, which was significantly higher than that of spontaneous evolution, and which remained even after the six months following the end of the rehabilitation training. On the Likert scales a positive effect on learning autonomy was noticed.
