Mental calculation and retrieval of numerical facts

The school is located near Vercelli in Piedmont, where the generally low socio-economic background does not help with school-family collaboration. The activities offered to the students aim at the consolidation of metacognitive skills with a strong focus on involvement and motivation. The playful aspect and learning through movement are at the basis of the project with the result of increasing pupils’ desire to learn, curiosity, spontaneous involvement and active participation, thus producing positive effects on the quality and generalization of learning.
