High Readability «Redazione Ragazzi»

The difficulty of decoding in dyslexic kids often undermines their opportunity to appreciate reading, as discovery of literary expression and enlargement of their knowledge. This paper describes the «Redazione Ragazzi» project, promoted by CRC Balbuzie of Rome and by Biancoenero publishing. It consists in the involvement of dyslexic kids in an editorial staff, aimed at correcting and reviewing drafts of forthcoming high readability fiction books. An educational project integrated whit traditional therapy designed to promote the personal growth. The project is the result of the collaboration between rehabilitation staff and publishing field. It aims to involve dyslexic kids in the world of reading, through a significative and inspiring learning experience. Since 2011 18 papers have been produced for as many edited book publications. The features of high readability fiction books and the project are defined in this paper, in order to describe the goals, the methodology and the meeting schedule.
