First edition of the National Day of Psychological Research (Giornata Nazionale della Ricerca Psicologica) Young Minds in a Complex World. The Universe of the New Generations according to Psychology

The First edition of the National Day of Psychological Research, event of the Italian Association of Psychology (Associazione Italiana di Psicologia - AIP), organized by the President AIP Sergio Salvatore, was held at the Royal Palace of Caserta, Caserta, Italy on May 15th and 16th 2025. The event aimed at putting the scientific knowledge of psychology at the service of society and institutions. In order to give participants, the chance to delve deeper into the issues discussed and potential interventions, the first edition’s theme «The state of youth» is examined from a variety of angles, including gender stereotypes, university well-being, sustainable development, education, employment, and artificial intelligence. The event includes panels, discussions and round tables with the participation of exponents of academic and professional psychology, representatives of institutions, stakeholders, students. The event was opened both to citizens and professionals in the health, education and psychology fields, teachers and students, policy makers, representatives of the media and institutions.

One-Day International Conference Psychology of Sustainability and Sustainable Development: Preparing the ground beyond the Agenda 2030 for a Sustainable Sustainability

IAAP Special Project «Promoting Decent Work for All» and MANUREFINERY Horizon Project

The One-Day International Conference Psychology of Sustainability and Sustainable Development: Preparing the ground beyond the Agenda 2030 for a Sustainable Sustainability, IAAP Special Project «Promoting Decent Work for All» was held in hybrid modality on June 3rd 2025, at the Aula Magna of the Rectorate of the University of Florence, Italy. The scientific event is part of a series of International Conferences organized by Annamaria Di Fabio (Full Professor of Work and Organizational Psychology, Psychology of Sustainability and Sustainable Development, University of Florence, Italy, Member of the Board of Directors BoD of the International Association of Applied Psychology IAAP) within the IAAP Special Project «Promoting Decent Work for All», that the University of Florence has been in charge of since 2018, and re-appointed in 2022. The event was organized by the Department of Education, Languages, Interculture, Literatures and Psychology of the University of Florence with the support of Division 1 «Work and Organizational Psychology» of the International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP). This Conference was also promoted by the UNESCO Chair «Lifelong Guidance and Counseling» coordinated by the University of Wroclaw (Poland), and the UniTwin Network «Life Designing Interventions» (counseling, guidance, education) for decent work and sustainable development. It was also promoted by the Italian Association of Psychology (Associazione Italiana di Psicologia, AIP). The event is also part of the MANUREFINERY Horizon Project coordinated by Technological Institute of Aragon (Spain) and for which the University of Florence (Italy) is one of the partners with the involvement of the Department of Industrial Engineering (DIEF), and of the Department of Education, Languages, Intercultures, Literatures and Psychology (FORLIPSI). The event included outstanding international keynote speakers as Prof. Marc Rosen (Full Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Oshawa, Ontario, Canada). The scientific committee of the event is composed of Annamaria Di Fabio (University of Florence, Italy), Daniele Fiaschi (University of Florence, Italy), Dina Guglielmi (University of Bologna, Italy), Giampaolo Manfrida (University of Florence, Italy), Marc A. Rosen (University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Canada). This scientific event proposed innovative topics related to Psychology of Sustainability and Sustainable Development to prepare the ground beyond the Agenda 2030 for a Sustainable Sustainability and during the event the definition of the Sustainable Sustainability construct was launched. The event was included in the Public Engagement activities.

This scientific event was free of charge and open to citizenship.

2025 ECP — 19th European Congress of Psychology Transforming Psychological Science: the 2030 agenda

Paphos, Cyprus, July 1-4 2025

The 19th European Congress of Psychology (ECP) will take place in Paphos (Cyprus) from July 1st to July 4th 2025. The congress is promoted by the European Federation of Psychologists’ Association (EFPA) (President Christoph Steinebach, ZHAW School of Applied Psychology, Zürich, Switzerland), the umbrella organization in Europe for national psychologists’ associations and currently comprises associations from 38 European countries, including all 27 member countries of the European Union. The theme of the congress is «Transforming Psychological Science: the 2030 agenda». Psychology, a discipline that is always changing, is being asked to tackle certain unsolvable problems based on our comprehension of human behaviour. Psychological research can help identify answers to problems ranging from health and well-being to work and the climate disaster. The event will include oral presentations, symposia, spotlight presentations (early career researchers or professionals), roundtable discussions, workshops, and poster sessions.

2025 APA — American Psychological Association Convention

Denver (CO), August 7-9 2025

The APA annual convention organized by the American Psychological Association (APA) (President Frank C. Worrel, University of California, Berkeley, USA) will be held in Denver (CO) from August 7th to 9th 2025. This event is bringing together expert perspectives from across the psychological discipline to discuss the latest research and trends. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from leaders in the profession, to explore emerging trends and best practices, and to gain insights for advancing in their career. The event includes many sessions in various areas of psychology. In light of the difficulties facing modern society, the conference works will concentrate on many theoretical and practical issues of psychology. The event includes symposiums, oral sessions, and poster sessions.

This year the XXI National Congress of the Section of Psychology for Organizations of the Italian Association of Psychology (Associazione Italiana di Psicologia - AIP) will be held in Naples from 25 to 27 September 2025. The congress aims to discuss the changes we are experiencing, those that tell us that the future is already here, and that require organizational psychology to rethink organizational culture and work. The Congress will host thematic symposiums proposed and organized by members of the Section, as well as oral communication sessions related to the congress themes. During the Congress, the Award for the best doctoral thesis, the Award for the best scientific article and the Award for the best contribution presented at the congress will be assigned. There will also be a plenary intervention by the young keynote speaker identified by the Scientific Committee of the 2025 Congress.

31st International Congress of Applied Psychology ICAP 2026

New Directions in Applied Psychology

The 31st International Congress of Applied Psychology (ICAP 2026) will be held in Florence from 21 to 25 July 2026.

ICAP 2026 is the world conference of the IAAP International Association of Applied Psychology (https://iaapsy.org/), the most prestigious association of Applied Psychology founded in 1920 (https://iaapsy.org/about/) with 18 divisions, which takes place every four years.

The congress will bring together leading experts from around the world to share their cutting-edge research and insights in applied psychology. ICAP 2026 will showcase the latest discoveries in applied psychology and explore their potential to generate positive change on both a personal and societal level.

The Congress President is Giuseppe Scaratti (Full Professor, Director of the Human and Social Sciences Department, University of Bergamo, Italy).
