Short Grit Scale: First study on the psychometric properties of the Italian version

The purpose of this study is to analyse the psychometric properties of the Italian version of the Short Grit Scale. Participants were 204 university students. Dimensionality, reliability, and concurrent validity were analysed. Confirmatory factor analysis supported a bi-dimensional version of the scale. In addition, good internal consistency and concurrent validity were established. Results indicate that the Italian version of the Short Grit Scale is a valid instrument for measuring grit in Italian contexts.
