Evaluation of the Italian version of the Compassion Scale: initial study

The purpose of this study was to offer an initial contribution to the validation of the Italian version of the Compassion Scale (CS). Participants were 214 workers. Dimensionality, reliability, and concurrent validity were analysed. Confirmatory factor analysis supported a bidimensional version of the scale. In addition, good internal consistency and validity were established. Results indicate that the Compassion Scale is a valid instrument for measuring employability also in the Italian context.
