The Mini International Personality Item Pool (Mini-IPIP): First contribution to the validation of the Italian version

Annamaria Di Fabio, Donald H. Saklofske

The aim of this study is to offer a first contribution to the validation of the Italian version of the Mini International Personality Item Pool (Mini-IPIP). Three hundred and eleven participants were involved in the study. Dimensionality, reliability, and construct validity were analysed. Confirmatory factor analysis supported a five-dimensional structure of the instrument. In addition, good internal consistency and validity were established. Results indicate that the Italian version of the Mini International Personality Item Pool is a valid instrument for measuring personality traits of the Big Five model also in Italian contexts.
