Karola Sorgi, Valentina Sforza, Daniela Marchetti, Mario Fulcheri

University-based counseling services provide support to university students in order to enhance their planning abilities and problem-solving skills. The paper focuses on methodologies useful in promoting the psycho-physical well-being and academic success of university students. Specifically, we analyse the uneasiness and the needs of college students with and without disabilities; we investigate in-depth the role of psychological counseling at universities. Finally, we highlight the usefulness of information and communication technologies in delivering counseling interventions as an alternative to the face-to-face approach.
