The Work And Meaning Inventory: First contribution to the Italian validation

Annamaria Di Fabio

The aim of this study is to offer a first contribution to the validation of the Italian version of the Work And Meaning Inventory (WAMI). Participants were 344 workers. Dimensionality, reliability, and concurrent validity were analysed. Confirmatory factor analysis supported a three-dimensional structure of the scale. In addition, good internal consistency and validity were established. Results indicate that the Italian version of the Work And Meaning Inventory is a valid instrument for measuring meaningful work also in Italian contexts.
