Aggressive Behaviour in Childhood and Adolescence
Stefano Terenzi
Childhood aggressiveness represents a vital force that, if not regulated, can compromise psychological and social development. This study examines the biological, cultural, and contextual roots of aggressiveness in children, distinguishing between its various types and causes. The techniques of schema therapy are illustrated, integrating emotional education and coping strategies to foster effective management of aggressiveness. The proposed approach aims to support balanced development, reduce externalizing behaviours, and enhance the psychological wellbeing of young individuals within a more inclusive family and social context.
