Glucose transporter type 1 deficiency syndrome (GLUT1DS) is a rare neurological disorder characterized by a wide spectrum of symptoms: epilepsy, movement disorders and neurocognitive impairment. To the best of our knowledge, the academic skills of patients with GLUT1DS have never been analysed, although these skills play a fundamental role in the individual’s adaptation. The aim of this work is to propose a rehabilitation programme aimed at increasing reading and reading comprehension skills in a patient with GLUT1DS and mild intellectual disability (ID).
