Cooperazione e salute mentale in Egitto e in Albania

The author has taken part in two cooperative experiences in the field of mental health in Albania and in Egypt.
She describes the main characteristics, which have two factors in common: the attempt to set up a process of deinstitutionalisation
along with the creation of an alternative to total institutions; and the working method used. The article shows how cooperation can encourage processes of moving on from total institutions, opening up new work and research programmes, using international support as well.
