Teoria della mente e disabilità visiva
Andrea Fiorucci
Sight is the preferred channel for accessing the consciousness of others, and its absence, or severe deficit, produces retardation in the development of the Theory of Mind. The paper, starting from an analysis of international scientific literature, aims to examine the connections that exist between visual impairment, development of mentalistic abilities and significant relationships directing our «gaze» towards a contextualist-relational vision of the Theory of Mind: a vision which, inevitably, induces a broader pedagogical reflection.
