The concepts considered to be fundamental to give an adequate view of current needs are highlighted, starting from an analysis of the development recorded during the last ten years in the social services sector, emphasising that participation and collaboration increase the levels of sustainability of the initiatives, by decreasing conflicts and reducing management costs. The statements of principle are followed by the presentation of a series of projects (related to families, training the operators, involvement of the territory through the commitment of disabled persons) which document the approach adopted to address the crisis.
