The basic idea of the «Fabbricastorie… riciclando» (Storytelling… about recycling) Integration Project was to involve two children with impaired hearing attending the third class of primary school in an integrated education programme, designed to improve the areas with more pronounced deficits, by using an educational theme as a common thread, namely, waste recycling, while at the same time making the experience enjoyable by inventing stories about recycling and the creative use of the waste concerned. Accordingly, the project focused on linguistic, expressive and hearing-perceptive activities, contributing to improve listening, reading, creative writing, processing and understanding, without disregarding environmental education, concerning separate waste collection and recycling the waste collected.
