Persone affette da deficit visivi associati ad altre disabilità in Serbia
Vera Rajovic´
This article examines the situation of persons living in Serbia who suffer from visual impairments of varying seriousness, and which are also associated with other disabilities. The matters of education, institutionalisation and diagnosis are, among others, the issues which should be raised to overcome discrimination and to improve the learning conditions and participation in the social life of persons suffering from visual impairments. For example, the problems related to screening in the initial phase, to education, to recourse to assistive technologies, to rehabilitation based on living in a community are analysed, in order to perform an inductive analysis starting from the examples of accepted practice and then to link this to psychological theory.
