Il Progetto «Nuove Tecnologie e Disabilità»: risorse territoriali e nuovi ambiti di ricerca

The need to spread the use of assistive technology in the Italian education system has prompted the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research to promote the «New technologies and disability» project. The project is divided into seven parts and each of these parts is designed to meet the educational needs of pupils and the training needs of teachers. The project includes the following significant initiatives: the establishment of Local Support Centres (LSC) and financing innovative projects in the framework of new integration technologies. The research projects have addressed the educational needs for which the assistive technology market does not offer adequate solutions.
