Sviluppo tecnologico e culture della disabilità: intrecci, rimandi, prospettive

After a short presentation of the representations of recent philosophical thought concerning the relationship between the person and technology, the article analyses their implications in the specific case of the person with a disability. The article then considers some national statistical data concerning the presence of technology in the life of persons with disabilities and proposes a short comparison between the concrete figure and future projections. The need for a constant operating tension is argued so that the encounter between a person and technology respects the individual inclinations and moves towards the objectives of self-determination and an increased quality of life.
