Teaching in prison
Luca Decembrotto, Luca Ferrari, Stefano D’Ambrosio
School in prison is an opportunity for human and professional growth. Teachers working there are not required to have any specific training, although in-depth study of the context and processes at work within it would facilitate the reading of a complexity that would require the appropriate adaptation of teaching practices. The authors present a continuous training course structured as a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC). The paper illustrates the characteristic of the didactical proposals and the participant’s perception of the quality of the course. Quanti-qualitative data are analysed, in order to structure a reflection that would help outline the content needed for specific training for the teaching profession in prison.
