In this article we try to outline the figure of Giulio Cesare Ferrari, psychiatrist and protagonist of the birth of Scientific Psychology in Italy. Ferrari was also one of the main actors in the birth of the Italian model of education of deficient children on a scientific basis and in his work he anticipated numerous issues that would later become fundamental in the process that led our country to be at the forefront of inclusive education. In this sense it is worth mentioning his attention and enhancement of the teachers starting from their training and their contribution in the research and experimentation of new educational practices. Finally, Ferrari stood out for his collaborative spirit and his humanity, characteristics that led him to be universally appreciated and esteemed.
