The group that would then have become the Solidarity Group was formed in the summer of 1979. A path — marked by many meetings — characterised by a permanent attention paid to social policies and to the role that the community organisations should play for the purposes of their growth. The 30th anniversary becomes an occasion and an opportunity to refl ect on our society, on the condition of social politics in Italy and the role played by the voluntary organisations and the non profi t sector. An opportunity for refl ection and in-depth analysis to confi rm the inalienability of social policies to protect the more vulnerable persons capable of combining justice and solidarity, rights and social duties.
