The wider dimension in order to foster dialogue and potential collaboration

The article focuses on the relationship between scientific institutions and the professional world. We insist on a positive interpretation of the dialogue between operators and researchers, in order to be able to connect practices to scientific research. Attention is placed on the complementarity of the competences involved within a cooperative logic, which, instead of vertical relationships, can foster horizontal connections, in turn capable of affecting the innovation of the environments involved. In all of this the University has been called to reinforce the so-called third mission, which is to be achieved through a systematic and collaborative connection with the local area of reference and its stakeholders.
