University and Italian Cooperation in El Salvador

In the framework of the international cooperation programme implemented in El Salvador, the Italian Cooperation and the Department of Education Studies of the University of Bologna have been supporting the Ministry of Education of El Salvador in the development of the Inclusive Full-time School since 2009. The research presented on didactic workshops was carried out within a larger work of systematisation of the Inclusive Full-time School model implemented on site in the second half of 2016. The experimentation of didactic workshops in the 40 pilot schools involved, brings out quite a complex picture, in which the introduction of the workshops is strongly represented even if with different levels of development and interpretation of its social and pedagogical functions on quantitative and qualitative levels. Hence it reveals the need to continue investing in the cooperation process to further support the process of empowerment of school players engaged in the development of active teaching in the perspective of inclusion.
