This article presents a summary of a research project carried out in Italy, which investigated the levels of resilience in a sample of minors and the role of the school (to be construed as educational community) and of local educational services (afternoon lessons supporting youths outside regular school hours) in promoting resilience. The pilot study also aimed to analyse contexts in order to understand the quality of school and social inclusion from the point of view of a social-ecological and human approach to processes of resilience.
