This article gives an overview of the issue of accessibility of digital material for visually impaired people. We present the experience of the «Research project for the identification, use, dissemination and development of new technologies aimed at encouraging active participation of disabled young people and people with learning disabilities, in light of the principles of universal accessibility, personalised teaching and inclusion», from the University of Turin, in the field of development and dissemination of assistive technologies for students with a visual impairment.
