Le conoscenze degli insegnanti sui Disturbi Specifici di Apprendimento

This study aims to assess teachers’ knowledge of Specific Learning Disorders (SLD). The study comes about from the need to investigate the current level of knowledge of teaching staff in Calabria (Italy) on this issue, following the passing of the recent Law n. 170/10 and the implementing Decree n. 5669/11, which require, among other aspects, obligatory training on SLD. To this aim, a questionnaire was given to a sample group of around 350 teachers of nursery, primary and lower secondary schools in Calabria. On the whole, the results of the descriptive analysis performed on the data highlight a poor level of knowledge of SLD.
