The construction of adult identity, including work identity as well, is a process which in today’s social and economic setting causes trouble for everyone. This is all the more true for people with disabilities, who may find themselves prisoners of a present without a future, based solely upon a diagnosis. Thinking in terms of a project however, means being able to evolve and identify the necessary adjustments along the way. The Skills Assessment tool, as a mediation tool, is one possibility for accompanying a person on their path towards active participation and conscious decisions in the building of their own future.
