Il Metodo SaM nella Terapia Neuropsicomotoria

Annalisa Risoli, Marta Sironi

The SaM (Sense and Mind) rehabilitation model and its application in the neuro psychomotor field is described in this article. The SaM method’s theoretical model is based on neurophysiological findings developed in neuroscience research. It is based on the theory of embodied cognition and uses sensory motor experiences as an intervention tool for facilitating dynamic and multimodal spatial and temporal organization. The method focuses on facilitating the formulation and use of mental images that influence different aspects of «executive functioning». When the SaM method is implemented, the TNPEE possesses a tool based on evidence from neuroscientific research that has been found to be clinically useful at different levels of complexity in multiple specific competency areas.
