SLD and SEN: Second follow-up in the Elba healthcare district
Claudio Coscarella
This paper represents the second follow-up on SLD in the local area of Elba Island. After the advent of Law 170/10 and regulations on SEN, critical issues on welfare, health and education for SLD have increased, with pupils at risk of stigmatisation due to their condition and social exclusion. Moreover these regulations have caused an exponential increase in the diagnostic demand for mental health services in childhood.
